On November 21, 1997 from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. in the Board Room at the American Arbitration Association, Harry Albirt of the New York Stock Exchange will be presenting arbitrator training for NYSE arbitration, at a luncheon meeting of the Committee on Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution (the "ADR Committee") of the New York County Lawyers Association ("NYCLA"). All are welcome to attend. On December 19, 1997 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the 2d floor Lounge of the New York County Lawyers Association, 14 Vesey Street, NY, NY NYCLA's ADR Committee will be hosting its Holiday "Lunch with a Judge", with the Honorable Phyllis Gangel-Jacob as its guest Judge. Justice Gangel-Jacob is the drafter of the newly formed Neutral Evaluation program for the Matrimonial Part of the Supreme Court New York County. Tickets for this catered lunch are $25. On February 12, 1998, the NYCLA's ADR Committee will host an evening forum, free of charge, on the Second Floor of the New York County Lawyers Association, 14 Vesey Street, NY, NY from 6:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. on "Impasse Breaking Techniques in Mediation." This program should be of interest to neutrals and advocates alike who participate in mediations. Panelists will include Margaret Shaw, Kathy Roberts, Roger Deitz and Lela Love. The program Chair and Moderator is Amy Rothstein. Introductory remarks will be made by NYCLA's ADR Committee Chair, Simeon Baum. New York State Bar Association, at the Marriott Marquis in NYC, the
NYSBA ADR Committee will present a program on ADR Advocacy Skills. The
program will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a section on
Preparing for the Mediation, Participating in the Mediation and a Mock
Mediation with audience feedback. Participants in this ADR program will
include the Program Chair, Steve Younger of Patterson Belknap; and two
co-Chairs: Dean Hal Abramson of Touro Law School and Simeon Baum, of
